The Emmy nominated choreographer and dancer Louis van Amstel from the ABC program “Dancing with the Stars” along with his dance partner from Russia, will be in Spokane on Wednesday August 29th to shoot a four more dance programs of “Louis Let’s Dance” being shot and edited by Gibby Media Group Inc. In July Lon Gibby President and CEO successfully convinced the show producers to bring the program to Spokane to the Davenport Hotel. The first four program were shot in late July in elegant Isabella Ballroom. The next four programs will be shot this week in the same location. The eight-planned Home DVD’s will be edited and in stores by the Christmas season.. Michelle Archer one of the producers from Louie Lets Dance Inc. based in St George Utah was pleased to select Spokane over Los Angeles California. She stated “With the capable Spokane based Gibby Media Group, here, such wonderful facilities at the Davenport and the interested and friendly community, we were very pleased to select Spokane as a home to shoot and produce our product.” The educational dance series will feature the Waltz, Cha Cha, Fox Trot, Jive, Salsa, Tango, Swing and Rumba to mention a few. Louis will be in Spokane Wednesday for the shoot. The shoot is not open to the public, but accredited media in Spokane are welcome to come to the Isabella room at 12:00 noon Wednesday for a short media opportunity for pictures, video footage and interviews. The project is also looking at the newly completed Fox theater for future shoots.
The completed videos will be marketed in the USA and internationally over the Internet and on Television, by Honey, Lets’ Dance Inc. Thanks to the success of Dancing with the Stars and the recently released exercise video, the opportunity for mass distribution of the finished product to an enthusiastic and interested audience will help fuel sales. In addition to his many awards for chorography and dance, Louis Van Amstel is also known for his modeling and music performance skills. Louis continues to feed off the passion for his craft and remains one of the prominent revolutionary proponents in the art of Dance sport. The completed videos will make it fun and easy for everyone to learn and practice dance in there own homes.
